We're Even

Several people have commented about the meme I did last week. I mentioned a game that my brother and I used to play after dinner at our house. It was called Fast Girl, Slow Boy. The Girl (that would be me) would walk really really fast and clear as many dishes as possible and The Boy (that would be my older brother) would walk really really slowly and clear as few dishes as possible. This game was invented by my brother (that would be The Slow Boy).
The sad part of the game is that I played it, not once, not twice, but many times. I was a trusting little thing.
Eventually I wised up and stopped playing the Fast Girl, Slow Boy game and developed my own methods of revenge. "Mo-o-o-o-m! Slow Boy is hitting me!" "Mo-o-o-o-m! Slow Boy is hurting me!" Snicker, smirk.
Slow Boy grew up and became a wonderful Older Brother and we have been great friends for our whole lives. But I just couldn't forget about that game and the way he tricked me into doing ALL the work!
But NOW! NOW! We're EVEN! Dealing with
cancels out all that bitterness! Hahaha!
Seriously, I couldn't have asked for or gotten a better sibling. Slow Boy had the good sense to marry Flower, my best high school friend, and he and The Professor are friends, and through all the joys and traumas of life he's been there for me, just like an older brother should be. But I still had to call him up and laugh.
NOTE: I did put in paragraph breaks, honest, I did. Blogger just won't accept them even when I've gone in to the html part and 'fixed' it.

Very funny!! Circle around once more and see what I did! :)) Slow Boy lived happily ever after and so did Fast Girl!

Slow boy is at BSF this evening. I'll show it to him when he returns.

Good one Willow! All these years of waiting ... and Slow Boy had to go do the work.

At least you wised up eventually. It took me a long time before I figured out that I was doing all the dish washing, then the fence painting and my brother was doing none of it.

Thank goodness for older brothers though.

You are lucky in that you got to have your best high-school friend as your sister-in-law. That is so cool!

So funny, Willow! There's just me and my younger sister, who I adore. I have to say though, I did always want an older brother...So neat your bff from school days is your sis-in-law! Happy week to you all ((HUGS))

Oh my goodness! The poor skunk (and poor Slow Boy!). It's so true that early sibling stuff often has so little to do with grown-up sibling relationships :)

Seems like we all played different games with our brothers. I was the only girl among 5 boys, so I always feel like I got the wrong end of the deal. Today I cherish all my relationships with those boys.

Slow Boy was very inventive indeed! I see that Flower and Slow Boy have a cat that resembles Minou :-)

Why is it that everyone is getting chicks? I want chicks too!

Blogger is very naughty it seems it won't allow formatting. I find it works better typing in word and then cutting and pasting, but not always.
