Friday Fave Five

I have combined today's Friday Fave and another day of Thankfulness.

1. A whole week off work. I've had a great week of just puttering around my house and then traveling to San Diego to spend three days with MamaMia and The Marine.
2. A Happy Thanksgiving! We ate homemade cinnamon rolls with coffee for breakfast. Yum. Our Thanksgiving feast included, but was not limited to, green beans, spinach salad, turkey, pot roast, mashed potatoes, apple pie and pumpkin pie. It was all delicious! The best part? I wasn't in charge of the kitchen.
3. Meeting a new grandkitty for the first time.
4. Isn't this the PERFECT gift for a mama who knits?
5. I had time in the car on the way down to San Diego to knit little dishcloths to give as gifts to MamaMia's friend, and her mother, sister and niece who were visiting from Georgia and Tennessee. These little presents were quick, easy and fun to make. I wrapped some small organic soap bars in the cloths and tied them all up with ribbons.

It was a great week!

So good to be back and thanks for your comments. I needed to read your thankfulness page as we have a lot to be thankful for even the the last month has been very sad. We had to rush home to be with my dying sister-in-law who very bravely lost her battle not long after we got there.

Great list! I love when the family has time off, too. And that cup is just too cute! May I ask where you got it? I'd love to find one for a friend.

Oh my, I have cup envy!

The washcloths are just too dear. What a generous sweetie you are! That wouldn't be Laurelstone soap, would it?

Hugs and love to MamaMia and her Marine!

I adore that mug! Where did she get it? I hope you enjoyed our first (and I hope not last) rain of the season while you were here :) (Also, I'm thankful for your knitting support -- I so appreciate it!)

Those dishcloths with the soap inside are great gift ideas, Willow! I just may try that myself...crocheted though.

A whole week off work would definitely be at the top of my favorites list. Your meal sounds wonderful. And that mug is adorable for the knitter of the family!

Dear Willow,

Your mug is perfect!

And a cute dishcloth idea. I'm not a very good knitter yet but I think I might be able to manage a few dishcloths by Christmastime. Do you have a pattern posted?

Hi Willow
Your Thanksgiving sounds wonderful.
The dishcloths are so nice! I love the cute coffee mug too.
The new grandkitty looks a lot like one of my daughter's cats...very sweet.
Hugs, Pat
