Friday's Fave Five

I missed last week's Fave Five because I was traveling. It's good to be back.

1. The best part of traveling is coming home. -smile-

2. I have loved messing around with my new camera.

This was a fun shot~ the reflection says it all!

Oh, and this shot~ a fan turning on 'slow'.

3. I saw this quote decorating the door mantle of a former library in a midwest city.

4. I was reminded of the quote above when a student commented today upon learning that tomorrow's field trip was an all day affair: "We won't have to do any boring stuff!" First graders learn quickly these days...

5. I spent one afternoon this week with Blueberry Lady on the ranch, picking six quarts of fresh blueberries, chatting, picking, sampling, catching up. We were having so much fun we didn't realize we'd picked past the dinner hour until the cell phone's ring brought us back to real time. Oops!

To share in the fun, go to Susanne's blog.

Welcome back, Willow!

I was just thinking the other day that this year I want to go to the u-pick blueberry farm and get some for the freezer. I don't think it is time yet in my area ...

Love the photos. It is so fun to experiment with photography. I see that I'm going to have to get a better camera ...

What a wonderful week. My family owns a farm in upstate New York and they are berry farmers. There is nothing like fresh blueberries!

I love your photos! All of them.

The quote is great.

Your photos of your road trip are good, too. Hubby and I took that same trip (almost) 2 years ago. The photos you took brought back memories for me!

That Grade One quote is priceless.

Blueberries? we don't get them until August. But we'll enjoy your California ones until then.

WIllow: Did you have time to learn why the learning quote is on a "former" library. Hope its current use is seen by even more hungry souls. Happy gardening neighbor!

How lovely! I remember strawberry picking/eating as a child. The smell of the fresh fruit still warm from the sun as we filled punnets some for jam making and some fresh for later with cream. Of course by then we were too full for more strawberries. What a lovely fav 5. I don't think you ever stop learning.
