Christmas Math

This is the way Christmas is adding up this year.

1+1=2 (Willow and The Professor)

2+1=3 (The Grad Student)

3+2=5 (Kiti and The New Boy)

5-2=3 (Kiti and The New Boy leave)

3+2=5 (Kiti and The New Boy return)

5+2=7 (Chaplain Dan and The Princess)

7-2=5 (Chpl. Dan and The Princess leave)

5+2=7 (MamaMia and The Marine arrive)

7-2=5 (Kiti and The New Boy fly away New Year's Eve)

5-3=2 (MM, The Marine and TGS go home)

Willow and The Professor, empty nest in January.

I should have made up a spread sheet.

That's funny, Willow! How do you keep track of all those comings and goings, indeed!

That was some hard brain work! So your celebrations will be ongoing. I'm glad you got your tree later then us. Ours had to go out of the house today cuz it was a fire hazard :0)
Enjoy the rest of your time.
We'll be back to our empty nest on the 3rd of January...

You are funny. The nest is getting a lot of use. Hopefully it will hold up well. (and the washing machine, too)

It's like Grand Central Station at your home! :-) I'm sure it's been so much fun having everyone there and you'll appreciate your rest after New Year's. Enjoy!

Wow! Sounds like you've had a very busy Christmas, but a fun one too I guess. It's always great catching up with family and friends. Our house has been rather the same as yours with lots of comings and goings. It certainly seems to make the time fly! Happy New Year to you! Ros

Wow -- sounds busy, Willow. I have my daughter and grandsons coming and going twice this holiday and then in February I fly up to Mass. to visit them. Why is it the older I get, the busier I get?

I read this earlier...Now I have come back, after knitting another touque. I have never been a math student...but wool in my hands makes more sense out of your blog...
Sounds like you have had a busy time with people coming and going.
Hope you have some down time.

I don't usually like math but that lesson was fun!

We're back to the almost empty nest too - just the baby girl left. And at 19, she's often more out than in :)

Happy New Year Willow!
