So interesting to see a papyrus plant, Willow!

I flew home from Colorado yesterday on the red eye, after spending a week with my son and DIL and grandson -- it was a wonderful visit and went by way too fast! The little guy is walking and talking and was so much fun to play with! I already miss him so much!

Happy Birthday!

IF only we would have stuck with papyrus for paper. Writings on papyrus from BC is still readable, while we switched to wood pulp paper after the Civil war, and all that was written on such paper is crumbling away forever.

Did we just miss each other? I was at the Getty Villa on Monday. It's so wonderful. Thanks for the Southern California advice. My sister-in-law thinks the Getty sounds great. Now...if I can just handle the traffic on the 405 since my husband doesn't think he should take off work.
