Remembering

Welcome! It has been a quiet week here at Willow's Cottage. Catching up on chores, writing more lessons, especially vocabulary words.  Learning new tricks in Microsoft 2007 thanks to The Professor who is just brilliant when it comes to formatting vocabulary quizzes.  This evening (Thursday) we have been at the university attending the annual welcome-back-to-campus librarians' reception for faculty and families, so this Fave Five is short on prose and long on photos.

1.  Happy to be back at our farmers market

But still remembering our wonderful week at the beach. And getting our photos uploaded.

2.  This seagull was the perfect model

3.  Views of Gaviota Pier on the Pacific Ocean, California

A favorite place to fish

or stroll on the beach

Or sit and relax and watch the sea gulls

4.  Speaking of campfires...

5.  Visiting Mission La Purisima State Park

Lovely to remember while I'm sitting at my desk planning lessons for September and October and December.

How was your week?

Thanks to Susanne for hosting Friday Fave Five.

I just LOVE your beach photos! Quiet weeks are nice too, they give us time to enjoy the good things, like the photos from your holiday! I love how wonderfully fresh those veggies look! No farmers markets around here though, and I think that's a pity. I hope you have a great week ahead Willow!

So deserted and with beautiful blue skies. Glad you had a good week.

With windows 7 and office 2010 I could just do with borrowing the Professor.

The farmers market photo makes me hungry. Haven't had those healthy items in my diet for a long time. Avocados are very expensive in Thailand. I enjoyed the visual tour.

I've been to a lot of the Mission's in CA but I've never visited "La Purisima", I'll have to stop by next time we are out that way.

I always enjoy your beach photos and I love that you take advantage of living close to the beach.

Fun to catch up with you...It must be somewhat difficult to think about the words, "Going back to school"
I wish the best for you and keep all these photos and memories tucked away so that you can pull them out of your hat...when you feel that burden of stress wearing you down...
Enjoy the beginning of a new school year.
