End of Summer Special

Sadly, it is truly the 'last day of summer'.  Labor Day in the US has always marked the change of seasons from summer to fall because it is traditionally 'The Day Before School Starts'.  With schedule changes, the traditional beginning of school is no longer really the day after Labor Day.  In fact, my daughter in law has been teaching for two weeks, and The Professor's semester has been in session for a week.

However, I wish to honor the 'real' end of summer with this presentation of

The Beach Umbrellas of August

Cute! I just posted an end of summer mushroom picture today, but I like your umbrella series better. We still have some warm days ahead of us but I started feeling the season shift a few weeks ago. I always get excited with the shifting of the seasons. :)

Lovely post! Summer is difinitely at an end here in the UK. I went back to school today and I have to say, Autumn is beginning to creep in. The evenings have drawn in and there is a real nip in the air. Ros

I love the last shot of the red umbrella! I'm sure your weather stays nice for a much lobger time than ours does. I feel a tinge of autumn in the air ..it won't be long now!

In Oregon we are having a 90 degree week--the best of all summer! It's like nature finally realized it was going to miss summer altogether if it didn't start to shine. So I am hanging onto these days!

I'm glad people are using umbrellas. It will keep their skin in better health. Plus they look so festive. And it's always exciting when the wind takes off with one!

I like the last picture the best!
