#14 Legacy

My paternal grandmother taught me to knit.  I am thankful for that day when she noted that I was bored (and about to get into trouble) and so directed my interest to yarn and needles.

Thanks, Grandma, for giving me the gift of creating garments, blankets and bunnies out of nothing but fiber, sticks and imagination.

And...you have been able to bless others through that gift. My two bunnies sit happily waiting for wee guests.
I have a photo where my mother was teaching me to knit before going to school. I wish I had kept it up.
How have I knit two Indian sweaters in high school and now feel like I have two left thumbs?

I never liked knitting, it's too slow for me, it itches in my hands to throw the needles against a wall, lol ! Crocheting was better, it went more quick !

Beautiful post....My last vacation brought three friends together knitting on the beach, learning from each other. We had so much fun..We laughed at our mistakes and took things apart...but we all had fun.
I too feel honored to have some of your cousins sitting on my shelf.
