Interesting. I've never perused the coastline that way. I so agree with your observation on Manhattan Beach, it has a very decided English flare. It also has a wonderful Rocky Mountain Chocolate Shop :)

I enjoyed my virtual walk along the "prom" as we call it in Britain. I do love to be beside the seaside!
