Project Black: Take Nine
Five Palms Sunset

It's not the 'big W' (name that movie!) , but if you live in SoCal, you gotta take at least one photo of palm trees in silhouette. I took this one 14 July 2008 on a walk along an arroyo near my home.

It reminds me of a crown for some reason. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteHello Willow.....
ReplyDeleteEnjoying your pictures...... UK ones and project Black. What an interesting glimpse into the 19th c dockside home too..... love its simplicity. Marion
G'day from Australia,
ReplyDeleteMy first visit here - and I do like a lot of the angles on your shots.
Such an evocative photo.
ReplyDeleteThat is a awesome pic!!!!
ReplyDeleteOkay ~ you've convinced me. I am going to England! You do a nice job through your photos of showing feelings. Your pics pull me in. Every pic certainly has a story to tell.
ReplyDeleteoh we've played the game many times with the kids when they were little, who can see the first palm tree. The first ones we see are few and far between when driving up to Disney land but then they get a bit more plentiful. I would never be able to resist a snap of that too.
ReplyDeleteHey Mrs. Willow. I hope you're having a great day!
ReplyDeleteThis is a big change from the England project black photos! I love the composition.
ReplyDeleteI love this photo but I love palm trees.
ReplyDeleteI don't live in S. Cal., but palm tree silhouettes are synonymous with our sunsets ...
ReplyDeleteYours is lovely.
Great silhouette!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! The uneven number of palms was perfect!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely silhouette!
ReplyDeleteI love silouhettes! I love this shot with that wonderful sky and the angle that makes them look a hundred feet tall. Very cool.
