I'm sorry I couldn't find your email address but I think the recipe would work with lentils. We commented on the similarity in taste when eating the dish, in fact.
It's rather difficult to find dried mung beans but I found them sold in bulk at Whole Foods.
I love these flowers pics & I do love hydrangeas too. It is difficult to do gardening as I hv to "learn to garden" each time we move since different countries have different system of growing flowers. Right now, outside my window as I'm typing is our "ume" (plum) tree & it has tinsy pink buds on it already. When it blooms, it will mean it's spring & Chinese New Year is here.
Oh Willow, I love those flowers. Roses are out here...we only have them in the highlands and flower shop, all my attempt to grow them was not successful. and those Hydrangeas..arent they the loviest of all. Happy weekend :D

Hi Linda, your rose is just wonderful, it looks fragrant :-) I can alwost smell it. This is just what I needed right now, it is almost mignight here now and I'm of to bed. Now I can dream of Otto and Hydrangeas.
Every year I buy one or two hydrangeas, and every year they die by August, really die, not just get wilty. I guess i should accept that I live in a desert. There are people in my neighborhood who grow them though, so I continue to try.
Your pictures are just beautiful. I was in English for a month when I was in college, but it was in January, so we didn't get to see the flowers in bloom. Maybe some day.
The flowers are magnificent and brought a bit of color into my world. It seems everything here is white and brown. We are also going into a deep freeze and your photos also includes warmth.
I love rose water. Grandma used to use it and I remember it well. At one time Avon put out a rose water cologne. I used it for a long time.
