Day Off

I have declared the next twenty-four hours as "My Day Off". It's an official holiday for me and I'm officially taking it off. Other than a medical appointment, I don't have any plans. A walk? Maybe. If it doesn't rain. Spinning? Oh, yes! Knitting? Of course!

I finished this little neck down sweater for a friend's son. I added the slip stitch colored pattern around the middle. Since photographing it, I've woven in the ends. I just have to sew on the grey buttons.
The slip stitch looks as good on the wrong side as it does on the right side, doesn't it?

I've been contemplating knitting a cap to match. On my day off.

  1. How fun and what a delightful day off. I love the colors. They look similar to the colors of my prince and princess.
Go and knit the Hat. I agree.

  12. That sweater is wonderful, Willow! I like the color combination and easy style. This will be loved! :o) A cap is a good idea! Sundays...a day off at our house too. We always take Sunday at a more leisurely pace and sure to delve into all things we enjoy. I was knitting too! Thanks for you uplifting comment at my place--very encouraging. I had to let our cat write my post...my brain is snow-logged from all the snow just now--LOL! Happy Days ((HUGS))

  16. HI Willow! Remember those bright orange felted purses you made and gave to us? How about those blue felted hats for winter?? Have and wear them all, and Nariloo especially loves playing dress up with her little purses. When you gave them to us, I never thought I'd have another little girl to share them with :)

  19. I hope your enjoyed your day off and didn't get rained on too much. Your sweater is so pretty. It kind of reminds me of those Bohus sweaters..the blue color and the stitch.
