Never heard of the penny per year allowance idea. It's a good one. Fourth of July was spent enjoying simple pleasures of living in a tiny town: old-fashioned parade, BBQ put on by the firemen, and a quilt/craft show. Not a sale, just a show of what talent lies in our community. Quite a bit, actually. Rome was......well...let's just say I prefer Paris, but the trip was wonderful and our youngest was so happy to have this vacation with us before starting work on Monday and then in just about 7 weeks she will be off to college for the first time!!
