Willow, that is a great shot. We went to the harbour where the swans stay for the winter. They are so beautiful and there were many Canada geese and Mallard ducks there. It's amazing how they all get along. Photos on my blog, but you will have to scroll down a bit.
Hope you are doing well. It's been a long time since I've been for a visit. Hubby had a stroke in September and I'm now on insulin for my diabetes. We are making progress though.
I love your pictures of the beach, and especially the "winter" beach. I think we both love that ocean!
I live a good 50 minutes from the coast, but when I visit my parents, I always trek down to beach. I was there one week ago. I went in to my knees with pant legs rolled up. It was icy cold but wonderful! I love how empty and beautiful it is in the "off" season.
So much for visiting the Los Osos Farmer's Market tomorrow. I was complaining on the way to church this morning that we practically needed air conditioning, and by the time we got out, it was sprinkling. It's raining hard now. Wonderful sound, especially in a nice, cozy house!

Indeed they do. Great photo :)
What a great picture! Other than the birds, that family has the beach all to themselves!
The light, the way you centered the photo, the depth of field and all - you are really an artist with that camera, lady!
Glad you made it to the beach!!
I love those kind of shots. You don't need many words.
Too funny!
What a lovely photo. A real 'feel good' pic. Just what I needed amidst all the snow and slush! Have a good week! Ros
What a perfect caption for the family and birds!!
How I long to go to the beach!
Lovely shot! I love hearing the seagulls at the beach ~ and to feed them is a sure way to get them going!
Gosh a photograph without snow and enjoying the beach in January!.
Oh, how I would love to be sitting on the beach, surrounded by family, listening to the surf and the gulls...thanks for allowing me to reflect.

You have a very beautiful blog!
I found you through flicker, the girl reading the book painting!
Thanks, Cyndi
Seagulls can get quite aggressive! I had to fight off a few in San Francisco on the pier when I was eating some sourdough bread..lol
