Low Surf

Pelicans seem to prefer low surf.
Maybe the fishing is better that way.

I love pelicans! They are such interesting birds. So then I think I like low surf better too.

I love these pre-historic looking birds. I saw where California Pelicans were suffering for some reason from these storms and high surf...

Beautiful picture. We have pelicans in Colorado. They seem so out of place here.

I love the sweater on your side bar. Who's the lucky recipient?

I don't think I have ever seen a real life pelican. Hmmm...am searching my memory banks but only drawing a blank. The next time I go west I will keep my eyes open!

Certainly think that fishing is easier for them. Enjoy the rest of your week Willow :)

Hia Willow I love how your spinning turned out.

Gorgeous sea pics too. I love the energy of a stormy sea- so many shapes and the sky you captured was beautiful.

Thanks for the pelican shot! Beautiful. :)

Thanks too for your note on my blog. I do indeed know what Reynaud's is and am sorry to hear you have it. I know someone here in Winnipeg with this condition as well. I understand your choice to live in a warmer climate.

As for the weather, I think cyberspace is a way for us to compare and learn about it without having to experience it all. I love snow and don't mind heat waves, but am really happy to have left hurricanes and tornadoes behind when I moved!

Such a beautiful shot.

What island is that? Anacapa?

I know so little about the Channel Islands. Wouldn't it be fun to visit them all?
