We are now within a week of Christmas! Are you ready? Yes, life can be quite busy and hectic in December. Let's hit the pause button and just relax and focus on all the things which bring us joy and gratefulness. Here are my weekly Friday Fave Fives (click the link to join us!)
1. I have been knitting quite a bit lately. Two sweaters for two little boys. I am thankful for needles, yarn and patterns.
2. Last Saturday was not the day I would have wanted to be outside walking around a cemetery. But. PAL's American Heritage Girls group was participating in a wreath laying ceremony honoring veterans who are buried in a local cemetery. The leader asked The Professor to join the ceremony by laying the wreath at the Army monument as he is a US Army veteran.

Love those sweaters! Don't like the snow! :) LOL! We are having a mild winter so far here in Missouri. Christmas is supposed to be 73 degrees! Looking forward to that. I know the kiddos enjoy the snow days!
Merry Christmas!!!! :D
The sweaters are beautiful. Your snow ❄️ pictures are captivating. Merry Christmas to you ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing, and I also want to thank you for your visits and kind comments on my blog posts. I really appreciate your time.
What a cute book store sign! And the sweaters are adorable! My favorite is the one with stripes.
LOVE the book quote and those toddler aged sweaters are absolutely adorable!!
A former student and his brother participated in the wreath ceremony for the vets. It was their Boy Scout troop.
We didn't get more snow and last night and ALL DAY today it has been grey and rainy and now the 2 inches of snow we had left from our first snowfall of 5 inches is ALL gone. Looks like yet another green xmas for us. it's almost 60 here today. Very unusual for eastern NYS after most of the week was bitter cold.
I hope you have an amazing Christmas with your family and friends.
...Linda, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas. Stay warm and well.
Lovely sweaters and pretty pictures of the snow. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Wow! Look at that snow! And here we are in Florida, today warm and sunny! Currently 74 degrees at 3:00 p.m., but it will be in the 40's over night. Oh, I LOVE those sweaters! They are really really nice, especially with the hoods! What a wonderful gift for some very special little boys!! We wish you a Merry Christmas and the Happiest of New Years!
Lots of favorites this week. Snow is not my favorite but the photos are always so pretty. Such sweet sweaters:) Have a wonderful weekend ahead -
I love those sweaters! My grandma and aunt crocheted some for my kids when they were babies. I passed them on, but I don't know what happened to them. Many people that are my kids age don't appreciate the things that are hand made. The time, and love into creating them. But once we are gone, so are the memories. The snow looks so pretty!
How nice for Pal to experience snow right outside her door. :) You know you are having a good snow event if they have to cancel church. We are still having rain without snow. Love the little boy sweaters! Happy weekend to you! We lost power Friday morning so things got a little out of order in my corner. Happy it is back on!!
Oh, what lovely little boy sweaters! Your needles have been busy.
I imagine PAL was proud of her grandpa placing a wreath. Hopefully she is learning to make snow angels and snowmen and appreciating the beauty of the snow. Of course, she may like to see it melt again, too. That would be how we Southwesterners kind of roll. Mary
