Friday afternoon. The weather has warmed up a bit and snow is melting. Another busy week. Now it is time to stop, take a deep breath, and focus on all the wonderful things that have happened this week. Friday Fave Fives is the best way for me to remember all the blessings from the past several days. Susanne hosts FFF every Friday and I am so thankful for this weekly reminder of all the blessings in my life during the week.
1. You will notice that again today I am not posting photos. Sadly. But. A new computer has been purchased and we (meaning The Professor) are in the process of getting it up and running. Then, I will be able to post ALL. THE. PICTURES. I can't wait!
2. I have spent many many hours the past few days scrolling back and reading all my oldest blog posts from the time I started this blog in October 2005. Yes, I've been blogging that long. It was a wonderful walk down memory lane.
3. Last Saturday The Professor and I and Nurse Girl and Warrior Boy went snow tubing with our Trail Life troop. First time for the three adults. Oh, it was great fun! I'm up for doing it again.
4. Our house cleaner came this week, the first time since before Christmas. I greatly appreciate all the work she does to clean our bathrooms and vacuum and mop our floors. The house looks so much nicer. And that makes me happy and relaxed.
5. Two long walks this week. One afternoon we tromped through the snow drifts with PAL and her mom for three and a half miles. The sun was shining and it was a fun walk. Then this afternoon, Nurse Girl and I took the dogs for a walk along the river for three miles. Most of the path was clear as it has been a bit warmer the past two days and the snow is finally melting off. I love my walks.
There were other blessings during the week like coffee time with our friends, a couple of long phone calls with a friend and my sister in law. Afternoons sitting and sipping my tea and reading a book. I hope you have had a calm and restful week, too.

...a new computer can be a blessing or a curse.
Those snowy walks are a lot more fun with dogs jumping around in it. I’m missing you pictures, too. Mary
It is so exciting to get a new computer, and I can't wait to see your photos. Wow, you are so athletic!
Hi Linda, I am sure you will be happy with your new computer. Mine is running really slow now because of all the graphics and pictures I have on it. I have not been to the snow in a few years, and I have to be careful since I have osteoporosis. I have been exercising to build muscle strength. Sounds like you had a great week with family. Enjoy the weekend!
Looking forward to catching up with all your pictures. We need to replace our laptops too - another thing on the to do list lol. Sounds like you had a good week. My fave would be sipping tea while reading a book.
Good for you for getting out and walking despite the snow. Hope the computer works well for you. Happy Valentine's day to you and yours!
HOw fun to read back to old posts. I should do that! I've been blogging since 2008. A Christian friend of mine got me into it.
YAY for outdoor walks.
Hope your new computer is perfect for you! i have to say my Macbook Air is now almost 10 years old and it's been amazing. Only thing it's needed is a new cord.
Now our microwave on the other hand...only about 8 yrs old and already we are seeing signs we need a new one...ugh....
Happy Valentine's Day!!
We've been blogging about the same time--I started in July of 2006. I look at some old posts every now and then but need to go through them systematically. The only time I went snow tubing was when I visited my husband before we were married. We went with a group at church to a weekend winter camp and did the snow tubing there--it was a lot of fun!
Glad you got some good walks in. I've sometimes thought about having someone come in to clean occasionally. Have fun with the new computer!
The weather is as crazy as some politicians ! Yesterday afternoon it snowed and a lot and this morning all snow was gone ! No wonder that a lot of people catch a cold !
Oh! I think we share a similar blog year birthday. I'd been on another platform now gone, but came to this one around 2005, too.
Hoping your computer woes will become triumphs when everything is up and running again. Enjoy the snow fun in the meantime!
Best of luck getting that new computer up and running, Willow
Snow tubing...now that is something I have never tried. But it certainly does sound like fun!!
Glad you'll have a computer that will handle all the picture posting your heart desires. Hopefully the learning curve will not be too steep. That is a long time blogging. I think we might have started around the same time. Snow tubing would be so fun.
