1. I am thankful for the two day conference I attended last weekend. I learned lots about health choices. And knowing some of the people also attending was an added enjoyment (I mentioned that in last week's faves). And I'm thankful I arrived home safely even though I drove country roads through a rainstorm.
2. An appointment at the dentist is not usually on anyone's fave list. But I have a wonderful dentist who is careful, thorough, kind and gentle. I made it through the procedures successfully. So I'm doubly thankful for good dental care and for good outcomes.
3. I always love walks with our granddogs. Three miles this time. I think we finally wore out Sawyer (the sheepadoodle). Athena was lagging a bit at the end. I'm thankful that we can enjoy these times with our daughter and her dogs.
And our county trails are so beautiful!
4. I finished another crib blanket for the local pregnancy resource center. And I made three pairs of booties for them to give away to moms who come in for a consultation. I am thankful I can knit and help others, too.
And I made a Plain Vest and headband for a little two year old girl who loves pink.
5. Time in the garden. Finally, we had a week of okay weather and some time in the afternoon to work in the garden. Our veggie beds are ready for planting. The weeds? Well... we're working on them. I'm thankful that I have enough property here at Willow's Cottage to grow a garden.
What has made you thankful this week?

The trails are lovely with the leaves just beginning to come out.
What a pretty color for the crib quilt. It’s a good way to help out your local pregnancy center. I’ll have to put some of those on my ‘to-do’ list. I imagine you are still doing hats, too. Eleanor looks very cute in the headband.
You must be getting pretty knowledgeable about some of those health subjects (like medicinal herbs). Mary
...your knitting is a beautiful gift!
Those booties are precious!
And that little vest and headband! so cute!
Love the trail pics! I did two good walks on two different town bike paths this past week and one super good hike in the wilderness. Heavenly!
Today is more gardening......glad you had a good dental visit and good week!
Happy Weekend
Sweet needlework! Hooray for walking trails. Oye, weeds! Hope you have a peaceful weekend.
It was so nice to read your five blessings from this past week. I can imagine how relieved you must have been to get home safely, especially driving through a heavy downpour on those country roads. That must have been quite something!
I really enjoyed the part about your grandchildren — that photo is so sweet. And the spring feeling in your pictures… I think I see it too, those soft light-green leaves. It all looks so fresh and new.
Those little baby shoes are adorable! I don’t think I could make something like that. The little cardigan is lovely too, though it looks like it takes quite a bit of skill. Still, so cute.
And working in the garden… that’s such a blessing as well. I realized I could have added that to my own list this week. How wonderful that you have a vegetable garden to enjoy.
Thank you for sharing. Wishing you a lovely weekend! 🌿
I love all your knitting. I can only knit a scarf. My grandmother's knitted and crocheted things for my babies. Those booties are so cute. I am old school and find it hard to see babies with nothing on their feet. I gave my son daughter things for their babies but not sure what they did with it. It saddens me a bit to see that the younger generations don't really appreciate things the way we do. It won't matter when I go to Heaven as I will have all I need and want!
I also meant to mention on my FFF that this was the only week this month that didn't have something scheduled. It's so nice when that happens. I'm glad the conference was good. It's helpful to have a good dentist. I love the knitting! We're just to the point of talking about what to do with our flower beds along the fenceline. It's a long fence, and we've done wildflowers the last two years as an inexpensive option. But the tall ones tend to crowd out the small ones, even though we tried to separate them last year. So I'd like to do something different, but I don't know what.
Your knitting is lovely and I'm sure it will be appreciated. Glad you had a good weekend and got home safely. I miss having a dog but the cons outweigh the pros at the moment. Hope you're having a good weekend.
I love the little vest and headband. Glad your conference was good. So nice to be able to get our into your garden. Such lovely places to walk!
