May Day!

May Day!  May Day!  Come save me from a busy week!  At least it wasn't as busy as last week was.  I'm posting my Friday Fave Fives for my weekly list of things for which I am thankful.  This practice of writing out my blessings every week has become a wonderful habit for me.  Thanks to Susanne for faithfully hosting this for years.

1.  After last week when eight of the nine evenings (yes, more than a week) were booked, we enjoyed a couple of nights this week with nothing on our calendar.  I am thankful for a less busy week.

2.  Today has been cold and rainy, but a couple of days this week the weather has been sunny and warm.  So The Professor and I were able to be outside working in the gardens.  He has been weeding around the five fruit trees to prep them for being fertilized.  One project I worked on was preparing an area that used to be a firepit into a garden circle where I want to plant some bright flowers.  Maybe this coming week the weather will cooperate so I can plant the seeds.

3.  One evening this week, we invited a younger couple to our house for dinner.  The four of us have been enjoying dinners together once in a while.  We had a great time. Wonderful conversations. And we introduced them to Indonesian food. Yum.

4.   I've been knitting a sweater this week (and the past couple of weeks).  The body is done and one sleeve.  All that's left is one sleeve.  When it's finished, I'll post photos.  I am thankful for the time this week to be knitting.

5.  And I've had some time to read.  Right now, I'm going back and forth between two books.  Am I the only person who reads more than one book at the same time?  I'm just thankful for the time this week to read.

I hope you have had a wonderful First Day of May.

Oh yes. I go back and forth between books. They tend to be different genres though. A new sweater! For you? Mary

Hi Willow, I am reading two books too. One is on Israel and the other is a Historical Christian Fiction. That fire ring looks like one we made when we bought our first house. Have a great weekend!

Yes sometimes it's good to have a quieter time after busy weeks. Looking forward to seeing your finished sweater. I usually stick to one book at a time even though I'm in two book groups so have 2 to read for them. Hope the weather cooperates so you can get the planting done soon. Have a good weekend.

This looks like it will be a beautiful little flower garden. I have also been enjoying a few days with nothing to do after a busy two weeks.

Yikes, what a busy nine days. I love nights at home, especially when we've been out a lot. I like the stone enclosure for your garden spot. Yay for time to read and knit and get together with friends.

Oh, you've given me an idea for my little flower garden that I planted a couple of weeks ago. Right now it just has a green plastic border around it that is flimsy and doesn't really look good, but the stones would be so much nicer. I love that idea! And you and I were both thinking "May Day! May Day" yesterday! Regarding reading, no, I don't ever read more than one book at a time. I like to read straight through one book before starting another. I'm doing good to do that! I'm glad you had a couple of not so busy days to catch your breath and do some knitting, etc. Sometimes we just have to say "NO" to too much activity, as nice as it may be...our bodies and minds need a rest! The older I get, the more I realize that! I've gotten a lot better at saying "NO" than I used to be! LOL. I hope you have a lovely rest of your weekend. I enjoyed your post.

I love your list of blessings.
And I also did a flower garden with stones in our former firepit site.....close to our now permanent firepit.
Yes, I almost always have a fiction book going alongside a non fiction book which currently is I Surrender All (yes like the hymn) by Priscilla Shirer as I'm leading a small group of ladies and that's our book this semester.
I love some good reading time.

I want to help people figure out what they have and what helped me to completely eradicate the Herpes virus infection.
I had unprotected sex and a few days later felt sick thinking I was just hungover. After spending a day at the beach I felt like I had severe sun exhaustion. For the next three days, I had a bad fever off and on. I noticed what I thought was a canker sore inside my lower lip. I started to suspect I had herpes.
I searched online and called different clinics and two days later I was in the midst of a full blown outbreak! Sores all over my labia and anus and mouth. I became very, very depressed and was even thinking of suicide.
I started to try everything I could find online. None of these remedies had any visible results.
Finally, I found a naturopathic doctor, who honestly told me I should contact Dr. Utu for my condition and recommended the herpes herbal cleanser.
I ordered the Herpes Herbal Cleanser through a DHL Express courier and started treatment
Within two days I started seeing good results with only one sore left on my genitals and my mouth was all healed.
I completed the herbal treatment under Dr Utu guidance and he asked me to go do a blood test which I curiously did
I got the results of my blood test and can't believe that I tested negative for HSV2 and negative for HSV1
People still cure herpes infection with herbal medicine and even other more deadly diseases with lifestyle changes and herbal medicine
While there are bad doctors and bad physicians in clinics and online, there are also the good ones and Dr Utu is one of the best.

Sounds like a lovely week. Nice to have some time to rest after that busy time you had. That little circle garden will be lovely filled with bright flowers. So fun that you introduced someone else to Indonesian food. I don't know if I've ever had it and I don't think there is an Indonesian restaurant here. I usually have two books on the go but one is a fiction and one a non-fiction.
