May Faves 2

Running in at the last hour to share my Friday Fave Fives for this second week of May.  As always, I am thankful for Susanne hosting Friday Fave Fives.

1.  Fiber Friends on Saturday afternoon.  Younger Daughter had the day off from nursing, so we drove down to the next county to our friend's home where she was hosting an afternoon of knitting.  We had a great time just hanging out and knitting.

2.  That evening, The Professor and I met T and S to attend the Denison University Gospel Choir concert. Our neighbor is a community member of the choir.  The music was excellent, as usual.

3.  Monday evening we joined PAL and her mom at their house for dinner and watching Star Wars.  May the Force Forth be with you.

4.  Yesterday, Thursday, was the last class for my Bible Study Fellowship group.  We had a great year studying Bible books in the Old Testament.  And after class, we enjoyed a lunch at a new local cafe.

5.  The weather has moderated some this week, so I have been able to be outside in both front and back garden doing clean up and prepping.  Hopefully, next week I can begin planting.

Bonus:  just to have some visuals for you.  Barn photos I took on Saturday as we drove through the rural areas on our way to Fiber Friends.

And now we are looking forward to Mother's Day in the US.  Happy Mother's Day to all the moms.

Happy Mother's Day to you too! I love the barn photos. Ohio sure has some great barns! Your gathering with friends/family to knit sounds so peaceful and relaxing. I don't knit, but I know I would enjoy just sitting there visiting! Glad your weather is getting better. Ours is hot already, but thankfully we are getting some much needed rain this weekend. That is a blessing! Enjoy your weekend! Ohio in the springtime is so lovely.

When I first saw "Fiber Friends" my thought immediately (prob cause I just had my annual blood work done) was "there's a group where you eat more fiber"?? HAHAHH.....knitting! not something I do but my oldest daughter likes it. I've always enjoyed seeing what you've made.

How fun to get outdoors and also wrap up your Bible study with a yummy lunch. And I love a good gospel choir concert...that must have been awesome.

My hubby and oldest girl's bf would HIGHLY approve of your Monday eve activity! :)

Happy Mother's Day!

What a busy and fun-sounding week. I don't knit, but ages ago met with a group once every other week to work on whatever crafts we were doing at the time--mostly cross stitch for me. It was such fun, but disbanded after a while. People were just too busy with other things.

What neat outings and get-togethers. Our Sunday School class is about the finish the minor prophets--an interesting and challenging study.

Sounds like you have had a really nice week. The barns are so sad, as many of them are now. Farmers barely have the money to fix their homes, much less their barns.

Your week sounds lovely. The gospel choir evening sounds wonderful. Exciting to be getting out and prepping the garden.

You knitters must love your time together working on projects and chatting. I have a friend in Louisiana who has "Crafternoon" with snacks (everyone brings whatever they're working on with whatever media).

That Gospel choir concert sounds wonderful. Is that BSF you've been in? I used to be a DL then an ACA for years. They've all got new acronyms now, though...
