It's Still July

Well, I'm late posting my FRIDAY FAVE FIVES.  It has been a crazy week and especially a crazy Thursday and Friday.

1.  But first, this blessing.  The Professor preached Sunday morning.  There were a total of ten people in the building (and I got to be one of them).  But it was on YouTube and nearly 1,000 people tuned in to listen to him talk about Heaven Is More Than a Wonderful Place.  It was a blessing to hear my husband speak of something of utmost importance and from his heart.

2.  AND I bought myself a pair of walking shoes on Amazon.

3.  AND I bought myself a pair of black Skechers shoes, too.   In a store.  I've been avoiding buying these shoes for months, and my feet finally convinced me to just buy the shoes.

4.  AND the baby quail are back!  I happened to be standing in the back of the house and heard a quail calling.  I knew she (I think) was calling the 'babies, where are you' cry.  Quietly, I peeked out the open window and spied the mama quail standing guard above the broccoli patch.  And YES!  The baby quail were there pecking around for seeds.  This new little covey is the first one we have seen for a couple of years.  They are such a delight!

5.  We have accepted an offer on our home!  It has been a long time coming, but we are thankful that soon we will be able to move to live nearer our two daughters and three grandchildren.   The next few weeks will be a bit wild, but we know this is our next step in life.

Oh that’s great news on the house. I know how stressful all that is! I hope things go smoothly for you.

How nice your husband got an opportunity to preach! I've heard a lot of people say that by putting their services on YouTube or live streaming them, more people than usual have been tuning it. Wonderful! You can't beat good shoes. The baby quail are so cute! Yay for the sale of your house! That's exciting.

oh praise God on the selling of your home!! That's wonderful!

And how awesome to be in church in person and hear your husband preach!! great topic!!

(our pastor said we've been averaging about 10,000 people from around the world (including all of us of course) logging in every weekend to view our live service (pre-recorded during the week)

That baby quail!! Adorable!! I love nature!

yay for new shoes. Our malls in the eastern NY area JUST opened up today. I'm not really a mall person unless there's a store inside where I know i actually want something. I used to walk the malls all the time when younger and shopped til I dropped......those days have been long gone for awhile now. haha

happy weekend!

Exciting news about the offer. I'm so happy for you! I have never seen a real live quail though I'm sure we have them in the country around here. Awesome about your hubby preaching and so many people tuning in! I'm coming to learn that good shoes are so important and worth the price. Foot pain is no fun! Glad you were able to find a pair and finally bit the bullet and got them. I'm sure your feet will do a happy dance.
