Signs of Spring

Nothing says Spring better than
osteospermum
blooming on the hillside behind my home,
the purple and white nestled in the bright green of runaway mint and poppy,

unless it's the early Iceberg rose bud

that opens up its twirly dancing skirt after it is clipped and brought inside
and placed in a vase on the piano to spread its joy and fragrance throughout the cottage.

Beautiful rose... it will be close to Mother's Day before I have roses. I don't think I have seen those white flowers before. Very pretty!

Aaahhhhhhh...so lovely, Willow! After a long, cold, snowy winter here, the snow is finally starting to melt...but no flowers yet--LOL! So thank you for this post! :o) Oh, love the yarn-filled banner you have now. Happy Days ((HUGS))

I love roses. The old fashioned ones make the most wonderful fragrance. Thanks for sharing your Spring flowering.

Things are waking up here too. I now have hyacinth smells in the garden. :-)

Willow,

I love roses and hope to get my rose garden revamped this spring. It really needs some work. It was neglected last summer as we did those renovations on the apartment.

The closeup is awesome.
Have a great week.
Blessings,
Mary

Ooh, I love that last photo in particular! and yes, all of those flowers just scream spring :) Our wisteria are out now (yippee!), and the bees among them are convinced it's spring, too.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog from David's POTD! It's been amazing how many people have remembered that day in May and how many have left their thoughts and memories for me to read. It was a pretty overwhelming experience even from Montana.
Your flower photos are exquisite! Glad I found your blog, it's delightful and so deseriving of David's award. I'll be stopping by again.

The flowers are gorgeous. God's workmanship--attention to every detail--is amazing.

How proud you must be of your son. Stanford looks so intriguing. I'll look forward to the posts. I love old buildings and their historical roots.

I absolutely adore the daisy flower! It is also conveniently one of the few flowering plants that actually survives up here in Topanga. Geraniums too.
