We raced through this week again. I barely had time to catch my breath because we had lots going on. That's why I like to join Friday Fave Fives and just pause and remember to be thankful for all the blessings that happened in the midst of the chaos of life. Thanks to Susanne for hosting Fave Fives faithfully every week.
1. Fourth of July! We had a quiet day and then the family all arrived at our house just before dark to hang out and around the bonfire. That was our 'fireworks' although we did enjoy watching all the neighborhoods around us light up with explosions of color.
2. How many times have I mentioned that I am thankful for air conditioning? It has been another humid and hot week, so I am so grateful that we have good AC.
3. We had an extra fun morning with our Daughter-in-law and her two sisters who are visiting. Our Nurse Daughter had the day off so she joined us. We sat in one of our favorite coffee shops for a long time and just chatted. I treasure these days.
4. Tuesday afternoon we received a text saying that our coffee date couple was at the hospital as he was having some health issues. That certainly is not one of my faves! But the fave part of it is that he was discharged that evening and is doing well. In fact, we had our usual weekly coffee date with them and he is OK.
5. We have special company visiting us! A younger family who are part of the church we attended in Southern California arrived Thursday evening and we are so happy to spend this time with them!

What a good amount of visiting you got in this week! We saw some explosions of color, too, in the 4th. We're not supposed to have fireworks in our area, but some do. I'm glad your friend was okay and discharged from the hospital.

Getting together around a bonfire with family is the absolute best way to spend the Fourth of July, especially when you can just sit back and watch the neighborhood fireworks show without all the hassle. I am glad your friend from the coffee date couple is doing well after that scary hospital visit, that must have been a huge relief for everyone. Sitting in a cozy coffee shop for a long chat with your daughter and daughter-in-law sounds incredibly special, plus having good AC to escape that humid summer heat is a total lifesaver. Enjoy every minute with your visiting friends from Southern California.
We had a quiet fourth with just a few family members and friends. It was nice. The bonfire sounds like fun!
How precious those times are when women can get together and just visit in a coffee shop or wherever. So much wisdom and hearts are shared.

I got to spend the afternoon with my brother and family. (Five grandkids setting off fireworks!) Those coffee dates sound so enjoyable. I’m glad your friend recovered so quickly.

What a fun week with so much visiting and sharing of your lives! It's illegal here to set off personal fireworks in the city. And you have to have permits and permissions from land owners in the county. Most cities do a fireworks show on Canada Day for the public.
