Blogtober, Day Eighteen

Today's post is short and not about Alaska (come back tomorrow for that).

I finished a Pickles Plain Vest with the left over pink yarn from the blanket I made last week.  Yes, it is for the same little girl who is due to arrive in the world within a month (maybe just a couple of weeks).

Details:  size US 9 needles.  Yarn is Baby Bee from Hobby Lobby.  I used two strands to make the yarn thick enough for the pattern.  Size one.  It's a quick and easy knit.

Hi Willow what a darling little vest! I love it, it's so cute and will be a nice little layer of warmth. I love making baby clothes. When I get in the mood and there are no babies coming in my life, I just save them until the next baby shower. I also love to make preemie hats to donate to the hospital. They really appreciate them. I started doing that the year a good friend of mine lost her baby. She was premature and they gave her a little hat as a keepsake after she passed and my friend really cherishes it. So when I am in between other things I will knit a hat or two and when they have piled up I send them in. We haven't had a baby in the family now for 8 years. I miss it. :). I hope that you are having a lovely evening and that you wake up to a great day tomorrow! :)
