After nine days of constant rain, Southern California is finally seeing the sun again.
Sunshine and clouds.
Reflecting life.
Today I am cooking and baking and waiting.
Waiting for packages and people to arrive.
Waiting for phone calls that state, "We're almost here!"
Waiting for the festivies to begin.

All this rain has given us a newfound appreciation for sunshine I think!
A blessed and merry Christmas, Willow, to you and your family.
Happy Christmas Willow, hope everyone arrives safely. we're staying home - not through choice but Em has caught a nasty cold/chest infection with a temperature. As you've no doubt seen the uk has been covered in snow. Most of our snow has gone but it is bitterly cold. love Jane x
Enjoy enjoy!!
I forgot to ask you about all that rain! I'm so glad the sun is shining and that you can celebrate the holidays with the people who mean the most to you! I can see your smile all the way out here on the east coast!!! ;)
Merry Christmas!!! xo Bethany
How lovely is your post.
Merry Christmas, Willow.
Photographers refer to the rays or bands of light that reach out from the clouds as God light. Appropriate. Merry Christmas to you and your readers!
you have gotten more rain this month than we have, and we are an inch over normal. I can see that when shopping for property in SoCal, it is important to look out for mudslide and runoff potential. Do not buy a house at the bottom of a steep, brush-covered incline. Do not buy a house next to a gully. Do not buy a house on a flood-plain. Soooo glad I am not shopping for property in LA.
You have my profound concern and prayers. May you stay undampened, unmuddied, and unimpeded.
We will be with you in thought and spirit!! God bless each one who walks through your door!! Love you tons!!
Beautiful!! So glad you'll have a chance to dry out!!! Sending you much love this Christmas!!! ~Janine xo
How exciting...waiting for those to stop by especially that little one.
Hope that your Christmas is all that you expected.
I'm sure the rain has been washed away and all the family has brought sunshine to your heart.
Thank-you so much for your thoughtful card. I loved it...it is so retro.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
With all the rain, we should have a beautiful Spring! But I'm sad about the havoc the rain causes.
How quickly we Southern Californians pine for our sunshine when it's absent for a few days. Hope your Christmas celebrations were terrific.
I'm glad you made it through all of the rain all right! It was certainly a doozy of a wet week.
Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
Hi, Willow! Happy Holidays! Hope you're still enjoying all the festivity. We're just emerging from some really lovely days. Later in the week is my birthday, then we ring in New Year--it's a great time just now! Happy Days, my friend ((HUGS))
Very unusual for you I know.
Our snow finally gone today after a night of heavy rain and rising temperatures.
Many blessings to you both for this coming year.
I just read the storm warning for San Diego, where our folks live. Another quarter to half inch of rain. That sound silly for a warning but I know it is no joke, cliffs are sliding and floods ruining property. Hope you will be just fine.
I don't think we had quite as much rain as you did, but I'm so happy to see the sun again. It was kind of fun to have an excuse to just stay inside and bake and read and...watch the entire "Fellowship of the Ring" trilogy with my husband and son over the course of a couple of days. Hope you've had a wonderful holiday!
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas Willow, and that 2011 will be a year full or good health, happiness and many new blessings!
