I went on a school trip when i was about 11, to see and walk on a replica of 'The Golden Hind' and i always remember it, i loved it so much.
The Golden Hind was an English galleon best known for its circumnavigation of the globe between 1577 and 1580, captained by Sir Francis Drake.
I remember the black and gold details on the ship, and below deck the cramped conditions that the men had to live in. It was facinating!

You've wonderfully captured some of the many fascinating details of the tall ships. They are wonderful, aren't they!

Such wonderful pics. I suppose they'll be gone by next weekend, or I would think that my family needs to take a little trip to Ventura.

I enjoyed your post where you talked about the Los Angeles Farmer's Market. I am tempted to go, but both Russ and I hate driving in L.A. traffic sooooo much. We did go to the Los Osos Farmer's Market last weekend though, ha, ha. That's a little smaller affair!
