August Take Two

Late to the Party... but better late than not at all, right?  Here are Friday's Fave Fives from Willow's Week.

1.  The Professor had a root canal this week.  All went well.  The best part of this fave?  It wasn't me!

2.  That skein of grey yarn I swapped a tomato for last week?  It now looks like this:

A gift for my nephew's new son.

3.  One evening this week, The Professor was busy with church business.  So I texted my neighbor/friend and we walked.  I treasure this friend and her wisdom and her willingness to pop out most any time for a walk around the neighborhood.

4.  Once a month we  join a local group for a potluck which is focused on a whole food/plant based menu.  I love spending this evening with other people like me who have committed to choosing a healthy diet and lifestyle.  And this week, the dish we took (Indonesian peanut sauce and vegetables) was a huge hit--no leftovers at all.

5.  One reason I am late with posting my Fave Fives is that we spent the day at the fair--this time we just listened to the music acts.  One in particular was a fave.  Brady Goss.  He can sing and play both the guitar and piano in several crossover genre.  Amazing performer!

Wishing you all a happy weekend!

I'm also glad that root canal wasn't mine. Ouch. Glad you could have a nice walk and conversation. Hope you have a nice weekend!

Ugh, root canals are horrid. Hope your hubby is healing up ok and feeling well. Nice to have a friend you can walk with at a moment's notice. The fair and potluck sound fun, and your gift looks nice!

I dread going to the dentist. Hope your hubby is making a good recovery. You've been busy this week with the knitting and all your other activities. Sounds like it was a busy but good week.

Peanut sauce?! If ever you post it on your blog, please let me know. I looked on your site and didn't see such a recipe.I adore peanut sauce. How wonderful to regularly eat with folks who are committed to a healthy diet. I know relatively few folks like that and it makes communal eating harder especially when I can be so easily swayed.

I LOVE what your trade looks like now. How wonderful to have this gift for your nephew's son.

Having quick access to a wise, walking partner is a HUGE blessing.

I hope your husband is feeling much better by now. Your comment about your fave regarding his surgery not being yours, made me smile.

Have a great week, Willow.

Your first fave made me laugh. Wasn't expecting that. LOL. The knit sweater is so cute. Nice that you have a wonderful walking neighbor. It's so much more fun that way.
