End of September, Really?

Happy Friday!  It's time for Friday Fave Fives. with Susanne. And it's the last week of September!  How did that happen??  Anyway.  These are the five things I've found this week to be thankful for.

1.  Weather that is cool enough to wear my flannel shirts.  I do love my flannel shirts.

2.  My college friend wrote this book.  Another friend bought me a copy of it!  I can highly recommend it.

3.  Several years ago, The Professor and I read through all the books by Dick Francis.  He wrote murder mysteries based in England and focused on horse racing.  At least I thought we had read them all.  This week at the library, I found a title I didn't recognize, and as I read the fist chapter, I was sure I'd never read it before.  So I'm enjoying this new to me book.

4.  I've been working on a new bunny knitting pattern.  At this point, I have a head, a couple of arms, two ears and two legs.  Oh, and the body.  Now I just need to put Bunny together.  I'm enjoying the challenge.

5.  Our small groups at our church started up again for our autumn sessions.  It's good to be back together!

The bunny you are making is so sweetly coming together...nearly ready for some hugs :) I enjoyed exploring your college friend's book online, and enjoyed reading the two Francis books I have read thus far...glad you found a new one to enjoy. Happy flannel shirt days! xx

Small groups are the best. Mine started last Wednesday night. I am also looking forward to TIME with these lovely ladies.

Hurray for cooler temps. I heard it might even rain this weekend. Now that would be a TREAT.

I looked up the authors you suggested. I will get the mentoring book since we are going to be doing that again, soon. And the Dick Francis books are on my to-read list. That pile grows and grows.

Your bunny pieces look so adorable. Is it for someone in particular. It looks like you have so much fun with your knotting and other fabric arts.

Have a great week, Willow.

I didn't know Sue was your college friend! I run into her on various link-ups. I also didn't know she wrote this book. Nice! The bunny looks cute. How fun to find a new book in a series you enjoyed. We're not quite down to flannel-level coolness, but it's finally starting to cool off just a bit.

That will be a cute bunny that someone will love. The book your friend wrote looks very interesting. Would it make a good small group study? I bought my first flannel shirt and wore it this week because it has been cold! I do believe I will be living in that thing. :)

Oh what an adorable knitting project!!
The book by your friend looks good!
I like to put flannel on after a cold day of hiking or on a cold day after work but it hasn't been cold enough yet really. I did wear a long sleeeved shirt to work today.

To answer about my dave ...yes he's been writing science fiction for a few years now and actually has had 2 short stories published ( both on line magazines) and one poem in Asamov's magazine!!!!! Pretty cool, huh? Now he's working on a novel set in Ethiopia. He writes on weekends or sometimes after work.

I hope you have a blessed week!

I love murder mysteries based in England, books or movies. I am a fan (my husband too) of Midsomer murders, and Lewis etc. I also love reading such books. Your Bunny looks already cute, I have no patience for knitting !
