Five Blessings

Whoa.  Life has been happening at Willow's Cottage this week.  That's why I've been MIA commenting and visiting my blogger friends.  So.  We have decided to sell our house!  Yes, there is so much stress in this process, but there are many blessings, too.  (Here is the link for FRIDAY FAVE FIVES hosted by Susanne.)

1.  Blessing number one.  Friends have come to help me pack.

2.  Blessing number two.  Friends have come to help us move a few things to temporary storage.

3.  Blessing number three.  Friends who own a cleaning business changed their schedule around and were able to come wash windows and do a bit of deep cleaning for us.

4.  Blessing number four.  A blessing in disguise.  Our house is really really clean and neat, and we are working hard to keep it that way.

5.  Blessing number five.   We have plans in place for when we have to vacate the premises.  We know we can debunk to World's Best Neighbor's house if all other plans fail (one of us might be gone with the car).

Now that we are in maintenance mode, I am hoping to catch up on posting some photos from my trip to England last spring.  I'm feeling a bit nostalgic and want to revisit my favorite vacation spots.

Happy Weekend!

Selling a house is such a huge endeavor! It sounds like you have it under control. I've always wished I could live as neatly and sparingly as we had to when our homes were for sale. Will you be moving far? Good luck with everything!

What a nightmare ! We have to do that too next year, as our house becomes to big for the two of us and too much work to keep it. When are you moving did you find something nice elswere. I want to rent an appartment, not buying anymore too much paperwork and worries, renting is easier. And I don't want a yard anymore !!

Oh gosh moving house is definitely a stressful time but very sensible to rope in others to help you prepare. I hope it all goes well and look forward to hearing more about it.

As hard as you've worked to clear stashes and photos and with your minimalist tendencies, I'm not surprised your house is already neat as a pin. Hope all the timing works out so that you aren't scrambling at the last for any detail. Will you have a place to garden in your new spot?

Oh, wow! Are you staying in the same area or moving somewhere else? We've talked about the fact that we might have to downsize when my husband retires--we'll see. It's great you had so much help on so many fronts.

You can do it, you can do it, you can, you can. Did I tell you I was on the cheer squad in High school? Glad you've gotten good help and that you have good neighbors. A deep cleaned house...sigh.
