Lavender is one of my favorite flowers. I love it fresh or dried. While I was in London I even had lavender scones. I like to walk over to the lavender in my garden and brush my hand over the purple flowers and then breathe deeply.
Today I bought gas that cost less than $4.00 a gallon.
Today is Kiti's birthday! Tutoring jobs for both of us. Daphne's for lunch, a stop at a fabric store, then a frappacino! Happy Birthday, Kiti!
The New Boy's smiles make me joyful!
Knitting! Please do not tell me I'm obsessed with knitting bunnies. I won't listen to you. Here are Rupert, Anna, and William with Eleanor Elizabeth.
Other pleasures of this day? Driving along the freeway close enough to the Pacific Ocean to see the breakers. Cell phones that make communication with loved ones so simple. A husband who does the dishes while I am at a tutoring appointment. Good books to read. A snazzy laptop computer and a fast dsl connection. My blogging buddies.

Oh look at those beautiful blue eyes on mommy and son! Gorgeous! Happy birthday to the mommy...
I loved all your simple pleasures Willow..
My life should soon get simpler when I return to So.Cal.
Willow,
That little guy is a cutie. The smile of a child seems to be able to wipe away all of our woes. My niece just had a new baby and Griffyn turned one at the end of June, so she has her hands full.
Love those bunnies. They are gorgeous.
I enjoyed visiting. I'm sorry it's been so long since I stopped by. With all the renovations and chaos here, it's been a real hassle. I just haven't been able to visit everyone as I'd like.
Glad to know you are well.
Blessings,
Mary
Lovely to see what simple things bring you pleasure. I adore your bunnies - they have such cheery faces!
Lots of goodness to be thankful fo! :o) Love that New Boy...what a sweetie! And happy day to his momma... And knit bunnies, such fun...Lavender...mmm...I can almost smell yours through the pc screen! Happy Days taking pleasure in life's simple gifts ((HUGS))
Ahh, the pleasure of lavender. And fresh cherry tomatoes eaten right off the plants. Blog buddies, a cup of tea, cuddlesome cats, and the freshness of an early morning. We have to make time for our simple pleasures.
I can almost smell the lavendar and oh my the eyes on that babe! The bunnies, seriously, too adorable.
He's getting so big! And a very happy boy, isn't he :)
The simple pleasures, and learning how to appreciate them, are what truly matters in life ~ at least in my opinion. You have a wonderful grasp on the simple pleasures. Children naturally find great joy in the little things - we would be better off if we adults followed their lead. Visiting your blog is always a pleasure. Enjoy your day.
Happy Birthday to Kiti!!! I hope this year turns out to be a great one! She is lucky to have a mom like you! And with a grandson like that, who couldn't smile? One of my simple pleasures is feeling like I did a good job on my work, and that I added something good to the world, in a small but important way. Simple pleasures also include family dinners where we can all just be together!
I wrote about the same thing today.
Your little grandboy is a darling!
Someday when I'm a grandma I'm going to request one of those sweet little bunnies!
Hi Willow!
I love all your simple pleasures but baby grandson is the very best! I am awaiting the birth of my very first gand baby in December ..a boy and I can't wait!
Happy birthday to Kiti!
I saved lavender from my garden and dried it to try to amke either cookies or scones with it.
Thise bunnies are adorbale! Do you sell them?
Hugs, Pat
Oh what a cutie your son is!
Those bunnies are fantastic!
I have the same love of lavender. There's something restorative about it.
I'd love to purchase one of your bunnies as a gift for my future grandson. There will be a baby shower in late October for My daughter-in-law, do you think you would be able to knit one by then?
My e-mail is in my blogger profile so please contact me so I can know how to order one ..thanks! They are so cute!
You have such pretty blue eyes in your family! No wonder blue is your favorite color.
Thanks for sharing some of your life's simple pleasures....it was a pleasure to read about them.
Such wonderful simple pleasures! They have all brought a smile to my face as well. Thank you!

What a sweetie! He has his mother's amazing eyes.
I like this idea of sharing what makes us happy. After watching "The Scent of Green Papaya" I started a Book of Happiness. Whenever something really touches me I write it in and sometimes even add a little drawing to help the memory. Not that I can draw. LOL
As for your rabbits, so you can't make too many of them. I went a bit mad at Easter so I'm covering my own back here. There is just something so sweet about them.
Beautiful simple pleasures. I think its all the small things that make a life full of character. Love the pictures of the newest member of the family. Sweet one of him playing with his toes.
your pleasures are all wonderful.
Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes it's so easy to get lost in the maze of life, that we forget what those pleasures can be.
Your little one is ever so cute...
That always brings out the reality for me.
Do you sell your bunnies?
What a wonderful list, and so worth making! On my list today would be the hot cup of Peet's coffee that my husband made for me, the dogs and my feet, and my daughters doing the breakfast dishes. A good way to start the day :)
Lavender is meant to have soothing properties. I'm sure it does.
The new boy is certain to bring a smile to the most jaded of faces!
Yes, it is the little things that bring s joy.
I was jealous of your new boy's smiles and riding on the express way and seeing the ocean... all of your pleasures were nice, but the ones I mentioned were my favorites..LOL
I have no idea what happened to my earlier comment..some of the words didn't print and some were cut off?
Anyway, I love each and every simple pleasure you mentioned!!
Your daughter is the image of you Willow. Grandbaby growing.
