Another Day, Another Beach

Ocean Beach is also in San Diego County. The ambience is quite different from La Jolla. Home of Hodad's, best hamburgers, fries and milkshakes in the San Diego area! Bead shop, cigar store, tattoo parlor.

A great place to surf,

watch the waves,
walk the really really long pier

out where the boats pass by.

This pelican was hoping for a fishy tidbit handout from one of the pier fishermen.

Even the neighorhood cat is laid back and relaxed.

In answer to your question over at my place, no, I didn't make it to the fiber show this year but I have in the past. Its a good one! I hope your s-i-l enjoyed it.

That pelican DOES look hopeful. In fact, he's the cutest pelican I've ever seen!

Another lovely beach day :)

You know me . . . there's nothing better than beach days. I'd love to watch surfers. we rarely have the waves for them. but once in awhile the wind picks up on the north side and the surfers turn out. I'd like to try it but I have visions of surf boards banging me on the head. ouch!

Beautiful shots! That was the pier my daughter jumped off of at age 14...as part of lifeguard training. I couldn't bear to look!

I hope they catch whoever let he air out of that cat....

This weekend we are to be at the most beautiful lakes in the interior, but with this heat, some farmers need to stay on call 24 hours a day...but my time is coming again. The ocean is calling me.

It looks so lovely. Southport has a long pier too but thanks to changing tides most of it is overland these days.

Willow, I always like the choice of photographs you bring. The oceans feed me and I so want to look at that view and smell the air. By the way fries and milkshake? yumm.
