Home Again

I was away for two weeks and a day.  I love traveling and visiting my kids.  And when it's time to be home, I love that, too.  Here are Five Faves from my second week in the east.

1.  Another walk with my friend. This time we explored a bike path along a local river.

2.  After our walk, we enjoyed lunch outside on the patio of a cute restaurant that allowed our dogs to join us.  The weather was a bit iffy, so we were the only ones dining al fresco.

3.  I enjoy playing with my daughter's dog.  Mollie loves going for walks with me.  But.  I'm second, at best.  She loves her mommy most and is always bereft when mommy leaves for work.  So cute!

4.  A safe flight again.  I am always thankful for that.

5.  The timing of my flight home was such that The Professor would have been sitting in horrible evening Los Angeles traffic if he had tried to pick me up when I landed.  So--I asked my friend who lives near LAX to pick me up and we had dinner.  This was a win-win since we seldom get to spend time together anymore and we miss that. (We used to be walking buddies when I lived in LA)  So it was a wonderful way to end my trip, AND at the end, The Professor was there to bring me home.

Thus endeth the two week sojourn to the east.  And now I'm happy to be home.

Welcome home, Willow! I'm glad you had another good trip and enjoyed time with family and friends. Your daughter's dog looks sweet indeed. I hope you and yours have a happy weekend. We were celebrating our first two sunny hot days of the year, and then had a flashy thunderstorm last night and more cooling rain this morning, but I am grateful we no longer have drought! xx

Glad you got home safely! Good idea to have your husband avoid the heavy traffic and enjoy time with a friend. Cute photo of the dig looking out the window at your daughter leaving.

I love your pictures and I love how green it is in the East. Great call on having dinner with your friend instead of having your hubby sit in traffic. Sounds like you had a great trip. Glad you are safely back home!

Welcome home and I LOVE the hiking photos!

How special to be able to have dinner with your former walking buddy and then your hubby coming to get you....I love those God moments when everything works out to be a blessing.

I hope you have a restful weekend getting settled back in on the left coast :)

I didn't know you lived in LA? Where? It's great to have a friend like yours. So good that you could spend time with her. Cute photo of the pup. xo

That sounded like a great arrangement for picking up; a win for all concerned! What a beautiful dog your daughter has. I always feel excited to visit family but then equally happy to be home. I guess it's a really good thing to feel like that , as otherwise we would always be feeling a little sad on leaving. Have a good week. Ros
