It's the End of January?

Wow, this week just flew by.  It's already Friday again.  Here is what I like to call Willow's Week when I join others in focusing on being grateful for FIVE FAVES on FRIDAY.

1.  We have been getting in a walk almost every day in our quest to return to our regular routine.  One day we hiked one of my favorite trails--Hill Canyon.  It's such a blessing to be able to be active AND to have beautiful places to enjoy nature.

2.  Our weather has been sunny and pleasant.  Perfect for being outside. [ And here's a funny thing:  randomly, my weather app on my phone started giving me update information in Turkish!  And then, the temperature started showing that it was 81F!  I suppose that somewhere in the world it was 81F--maybe Istanbul?]

3.  We have come to sad conclusion that my camera cannot be resurrected.  The fave?  Well, we'll be shopping for a new one.

4.  Thursday evening we attended the opening of a multi-media exhibit at the university:  Finland at 100.   Finland is beautiful!  And fascinating!  Did you know that Angry Birds (the video game) was created by a Finnish company?  And Marimekko the nature inspired clothing and accessory designer is also a Finnish company.  A bit of trivia:  the longest word in Finnish is:

5.  Tangerines!  I wish I had my camera so I could photograph All.The.Tangerines. on my tree.  We've had a bumper crop this winter (yes, there are December ripening citrus!) and now we're giving away fruit AND eating a bunch of them ourselves every day.  YUM!  I  LOVE tangerines!

And so there is Willow's Week in Five Faves.  Wishing you a wonderful weekend!

Oooo...that top view is lovely-can almost feel the warm of the sun through the photo. :) Pity about your camera...but great news that you'll soon be snapping away with a new one soon. My camera died about a year ago. I've been using the camera on phone for photos. Not as great as a proper camera, but they do.... VERY fun with the Finland exhibit! Though in Scandinavia some time now, I've not been to Finland--yet. I'm fascinated by the Finnish language as it is very different from Norwegian, Swedish and Danish--lots of double vowels in words, and some VERY long words too! Your own tangerine tree??!! *SWOON* I can imagine the taste of a tangerine picked right from one's own tree, still warm from the sun... mmm... Happy Weekend, Willow ((HUGS))

Omgoodness gracious!!! Being able to go pluck a tangerine from, your backyard......my oldest gal and i are jealous!!!! YUMMY!!!

i actually have Finland on my bucket list to visit someday and yes i knew that about the linens line...they sell them at crate and barrel i think.

How lovely,to get in a nature hike and walk every day! My first time outdoors for that will be tomorrow if the rain stays away and after i get back from Trader Joe's. Around here we have to be there on a Sat by 8 if we hope for a parking spot and short lines!! We literally only have one Trader Joe's in the entire capital region of NY ( a tri-county area) and people from Vermont and western MA even drive here to shop there! During my school breaks when i am a stay at home mom again i go early in the mid week mornings. Weekends are crazy busy!!

Enjoy your weekend!

Wow, tangerines! How great that you got a bumper crop! Walking again sounds real good. Have fun on finding that camera!

Lots of good things going on there (apart from the camera). It probably was 81 in Istanbul. How weird that your phone did that! I wish it was warmer here but actually it's not too cold at the moment just a bit miserable. Enjoy your weekend.

Hope you narrow down your choices in cameras — the sheer number of options can be dizzying. Many of my friends skip the stand-alone camera entirely and go with their phone camera. Yes, hasn’t the weather been pleasant? If it would only rain once per week, it’d be peeerrrrfect.

I wish I lived close enough to share in the tangerine abundance! It's great that you have nice places to walk. We've had a few warm days amid the cool ones - they make winter more bearable. Odd about the Turkish updates! Have fun camera shopping. The Finnish exhibit sounds interesting.
