First Friday Fave Fives in May

Good evening. Yes it has been a busy day and week. But here I am to celebrate Friday Fave Fives with others who join to focus on our blessings of the week choosing five of them to share. Follow THIS LINK to read more or add yours.

1.  We have company!  On Monday, a young man we call 'grandson' (he's an honorary one) hopped on a plane in Los Angeles and flew out to visit us!  Lots of laughter, fun, serious talks, walks.

2.  Rain.  Sorry, West Coast desert friends who are experiencing serious drought conditions.  'Rain on the Roof' is a lovely sound, and the garden needs it.

3.  Garden?  Yes, honorary grandson helped me prep soil and plant tomatoes, basil and parsley...so far.

4.  Fun walks.  On not rainy days, we have been out walking trails so he can experience Ohio on the spring.

5.  I know this sounds like a "you choose this every week" Fave. But our weekly coffee chats with our friends are important to us. We enjoyed coffee in one of our favorite shops Buckeye Lake Coffee and chatted for at least two hours.

Bonus: I shared lots of photos from ONE DAY in our England trip.  Come back later for more!

Hi Willow! So glad you had such a good week. You have many things to be grateful for! We have had lots of rain here last week, and it is so needed! I am very thankful for that. Have a good weekend!

Oh how I wish I could get into my garden! We have had so much rain it is just a muddy mess. I am going to try and just get my plants put in the ground without all the tilling and amending of the soil this year. Maybe next year it will be better. So glad your honorary grandson came to visit! That is so sweet.
Awesome that you have a favorite coffee shop that you visit with friends! Our town needs something like that. Maybe a retirement idea! LOL! Have a blessed Mother's Day Willow!

I get it. Those connections with friends and family (and honorary family) are precious and worth faving.

Sigh. We would love a bit of that spring rain... roomie was trying to figure where to put the new bigger umbrella and said its temporary spot is where water gathers when it rains. I replied that we're not likely to have any until November - plenty of time to figure it out :-(

Here's to a great season of tomatoes, basil, and parsley!

How lovely to have your "grandson" visit. And that helped get some of the garden in. Coffee with friends would totally make my list every week. Maybe I need to start getting that routine going in my life!
