Gardens of the World has several sections, each devoted to a gardening style or area. There are the French Garden, Japanese Garden, English Flower Garden, California Mission Courtyard, Rose Garden. I love each garden style for its own sake and enjoyed wandering along the paved paths, passing from one to another.
The Rose Garden particularly delighted me. I have always loved roses, perhaps because I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, The City of Roses.
We walked under the roses climbing up and over the trellises.
Brilliant crimson roses.
Warm pink roses
Cheery yellow roses.
The rose beds are filled with exotic and aromatic blooms. Striped and mottled roses.
Elegant white roses.
I'm looking forward to visiting the Gardens of the World again soon. I had no idea such a beautiful place existed so close to my home!

I'm enjoying all these garden posts....the roses are so lovely and I can just imagine the scent. That Gardens of the World looks like a great place to visit.
Beautifull! I'm going to start using your blog as a travel guide. My high-school-age daughter has been getting recruited by Cal Lutheran, and we've been thinking we should go check out the campus...I think we'll need to go enjoy those garden too.
How fun! I'm going to have to find that place and see how long it would take us to get there! I love gardens like that (the Huntington Gardens used to be one of our favorite places to visit when we were in college). Thanks for sharing :)
i love to go there, especially a japanese garden, will be so nice :)
What beautiful roses! The smell must have been wonderful.
How lovely to see more of your Gardens of the World visit! Helps to cement it in my brain for a future visit.
Nice trip you had. Seeing all the beautiful roses takes me forward to summer. Have to wait until June here but it will be worth the wait.
I jumped over to your Happy Wanderer blog and saw some beautiful pictures of you and your friend.
We are at such a wonderful stage of life to be able to enjoy enough Tea Times.
We have a cozy tea house out here also which caters to some of our likes and fancies.
