Opening Doors, Day 1

Happy Wonderer is participating in a photo challenge called Opening Doors.

I decided I would join in because I love doors~ open doors, closed doors, locked doors. Doors symbolize opportunities. They're also fun to photograph!
The Door In The Wall, Oxford

Heaven in Belgium is the host(ess). You can see many more door photos over there!

Oh I love your door choice. Love the wall and then the surprise of the wooden door. Really makes you want to open it and go through...
Sheesh I'm tired today, got back at 11:00 last night from Clovis...

What a great door right there in the middle of the wall! Love it! This is going to be a fun meme! Can't wait to see more of your door photos.

I love that wall and I love that door! And you're right - it does make you WANT to go inside! I'm just positive there is beauty on the other side!

The history that the door holds must be so amazing. . the wall and door picture is such a good choice for this challenge.

That's a lovely mysterious door, and a perfect shot. And it's great to find new people to visit, too.

I love the door in the wall. Where does a door in a wall go to I wonder?

This is a great photo, Willow. Very intriguing... makes me want to go see what's behind it, haha.

That's a wonderful door. I love stone and there's something so appealing about that shot to me.

I love the texture in your photo. Can't you just feel the rough stone and the weathered wood of the door?

I love stone and this is beautiful! I so want to know what is behind that door. This is the first that has evoked mystery today.
Love the angle you took.

Oh! This door has a very "Secret Garden" type look to it. I bet there is magic back there!

I love doors (and door photos), too! They always seem to me to offer the opportunity to imagine stories of what's on the other side...

What lovely doors.

I had never really realised just how interesting doors were until I did a 'door' post sometime ago and was amazed at the differences in even a short space.

I read The Secret garden at a very impressionable age. :-) THAT doorway was something else, as was the wardrobe door leading to Narnia. I can understand the Romans worshipping Janus. Each doorway is a beginning and an end and on the threahold we look both ways.

Beautiful choce of doorways.
