A Channel Islands Sunset

After our weeks of clouds and rain, we Southern Californians flocked to the beaches to revel in the brilliant sunshine and even more brilliant sunsets.

Willow,

I have never been to the beach in winter, even when we visited Florida. We did go swimming in the heated pool last winter though.

Beautiful photo and such a pretty sunset.

Ice fog is ice crystals that fall through the air, giving the appearance of fog. It is very pretty and happens only rarely. I'm glad you enjoyed the photos.

Blessings,
Mary

WOW, what a beautiful place to be.
Is that you and the professor?
Today was our first day of sun since Dec.25. We are like spring chickens.
The snow has finally melted and we're out walking again.

Ok Ok Ok say I as we continue with a mixture of snow, ice, fog, rain and dark, dark days that hardly seem to get light sometimes.

Hasn't this weather been amazing? It's clear as a bell here (dry, of course, but very clear) :)

We're heading for the beach this weekend even though we've had beautiful weather in the valley too.
