It's Friday and time to celebrate Friday Fave Fives, the day many people band together HERE and voice their thanks for the blessings of the week. Here is Willow's Week in five blessings.
Happy April! April means warm weather, sunshine, rain, Easter, green leaves and spring flowers! New life!
1. Resurrection Sunday! The day we celebrated Jesus's resurrection from death and celebrate that we too have life in Him. Our family attended church service together. Then we met at Younger Daughter's home for a simple lunch (bringing our own meals, so no one was overwhelmed with cooking). After that, we grabbed their doggies and drove to a favorite hiking place, Black Hand Gorge. Walking along the trail next to the river, we noticed that the green was just beginning to pop out.
2. Spring is really here. This week, just two days later, the trees are blooming and showing their leaves. And I discovered grape hyacinths in my front yard!
3. My granddaughter is running track for the first time. So of course we had to attend her first meet!
As my daughter said, "Do you know how hard it is to photograph that girl running at top speed?" (Yes, they won the relay race.)
4. It was late when we drove home after the meet. So we all decided that Chipotle was a good option.
5. Because I had to pick up a prescription at the grocery store pharmacy, I thought to ask about covid vaccines since we have been unable to schedule any appointments. We left our names and cell numbers for any cancellation opportunities, and a few days later, we received a call. "Can you come in this afternoon?" Yep. So The Professor and I both have our first shots.
There are always so many more blessings in our lives each week if we just look for them!

So glad you were able to get your first shots. That is sort of how we got ours too. Our local health Department had some left over shots at the end of the day and my friend at work had a list of names of us who wanted to get a shot and they called him and we got ours.
Those flowers are beautiful. We have lots of trees blooming in our neighborhood too.
Have a blessed weekend.
Hard not to want to end each Fave with an exclamation point :-) I love April, too, and after your for-real-winter, I bet you love it even more.
Grape hyacinths! They look amazing growing seemingly without effort. On the other hand, your granddaughter is putting out maximum effort and the photo is fantastic. Congrats on her team's win!
Sounds like a great week! I love seeing what's blooming. This is my son and daughter-in-law's first spring in their new house, so it's fun discovering what's coming up where. Congratulations to your granddaughter and her team! That's neat the vaccines worked out.
YAY for getting the first dose of the vaccine! Our 2nd dose is a week from tomorrow.
LOVE the pic of your granddaughter running and yay for the win!
My grape hyacinths are JUST coming up through the soil so no blooms yet but I have those same white flowers right now and some tiny blue star shaped ones.....and lots of crocuses of course and now the tulips although they haven't opened yet. I'm guessing they will by Monday or Tuesday.
YAY for a Resurrection Day hike. ANd that looks like kayakers in one of the pics. Our kayaks will go in the water in about 3 weeks or so.
HAPPY WEEKEND!
Granddaughter has some great form! Track is fun to watch. Glad you had a good Resurrection day!
So glad you got your first Covid shots! Looks like you had a good week. I love all the spring flowers - spring has sprung here as well. Have a good weekend. See you again soon.
Glad you got your vaccines and managed to get that great shot of your granddaughter. Must have felt good seeing her team win. Enjoy your weekend.
That is a great picture of your grand daughter! How nice to take a hike for Easter. I am glad you were able to get your vaccines. Happy Sunday!
