Digital cameras are fabulous. I've been very pleased with the Fuji camera I have.
Megapixels are important but also ask about the time it takes to load a picture onto the card (refresh), the time it takes for the camera to focus and take the picture (if its slow you end up with lots of blurry pictures or pictures of people just standing still) and check about the batteries! My daughter has a small digital camera that uses AA. Sounds easy to replace, right? Except that the darn camera goes through two batteries every time she uses it! Personally, I shoot with a Nikon d70 but I'm a photgrapher. I do recommend the new "prosumer" digital slr's...they take some great shots and they're not too bulky. I hope I didn't confuse you more....
Thanks,Sher and Sereknitty. I will have to take some time to process all the comments. I have a Nikon now with an extra lens, but it's not digital. I'd like to have pretty good camera b/c I really enjoy photography. One of these days I'll post some pix I've taken... I'll ask sil Jeff, too.
