Here is a quick update on Willow's Week for FRIDAY FAVE FIVES.
1. I'm thankful that we will take possession of our home this afternoon or this evening! If I am a bit absent around blogland for the next few days, that's why.
2. The weather has been mostly warmish and sunny. Only one day of rain. But I am thankful for both.
3. I took a little fall, slipping in the rain as I crossed a street. I am thankful that I was not hurt much, just bruised a bit on my calf because I was holding on to my shopping cart. I guess all my hiking and walking helps.
4. This past week we watched a gardening in the fall and winter seminar online. Produced by a local university, it provided good information for someone like me who has never before gardened in a really cold climate. Now I have lots of ideas for what and how I can grow some veggies through the winter. I am thankful for these opportunities to learn.
5. The Professor and I took a lovely four mile walk along a bike path. Walking under the tree canopy, we enjoyed all the autumn colors.
Are you enjoying the colors that God has used to paint our world?

Lovely pictures! So glad you weren't hurt when you fell. Great news that you are finally moving into your own home. So glad you are getting settled in your new location near to your family. Have a good weekend.
I’m glad you were not hurt when you fell. Do be careful come winter. If you’re not used to it the ice can be very slippery even for seasoned winter weather people. This is just the perfect time of year for walking/hiking.
Glad you survived the fall ok. We don't bounce the same way as we get older ;) I hope everything went well with getting the keys to your home. Looking forward to hearing more about it.
Praise God you weren't seriously hurt in your fall! I do believe walking and hiking helps us "age"...I seriously do believe that.
LOVE the colors God has painted our world with and yes I'm enjoying our great NorthEast color immensely this year thanks to a super hot summer and mild autumn. It's been lovely and I am so happy you found some walking trails and that you're moving in this weekend!! That's so exciting.
how fun to learn about gardens in the colder months. For me? My gardens go to sleep and wake up again around Mid March. Right now my morning glories are still blooming so i'm leaving them on the trellis and still enjoying late day tea or coffee on the deck wrapped up in a fleece blanket as the sun goes down earlier now.
ENJOY the rest of the weekend and can't wait to see photos of your new place!
You start now what I finally ended ! The moving ! When I look back I can't understand how long it took, I started in June with moving into the apartment, made it habitable and then had the house emptied, signed the papers and it was finished in August ! But still now I have to hang pictures on the wall, some decoration put into place, buy a few things, but I am not in a hurry, with our restricted freedom there is nothing interesting to do so I take it easy. Everybody is in a sad or bad mood and it is not even nice to go out ! I am so happy to got rid of the yard and all the work and had to smile, because you are looking forward to plant ! Enjoy your new home !!
I enjoyed seeing your fall pictures! So beautiful in your part of the country.
I'm glad you weren't seriously hurt when you fell. That would have put a damper on your moving and settling in. Hope you're enjoying the new place and wishing you well as you make it your new home!
I'm way behind but how exciting to read that this day was key day! Congratulations. Beautiful trail for a walk!
I am catching up after so long away. It looks like you truly enjoyed Autumn, a season I miss very much. And fabulous news about your new home! So exciting. Happy weekend.
