Bye, February!

Hello!  It's FRIDAY!  TGIF, right?  And TGIFFF!  Thank God It's Friday Fave Fives!  It was a quiet week, but that doesn't mean there aren't things to make me thankful.  Here is Willow's Week.

1.  Everyone around here is talking about 'warm weather'.  And it has been sunny most of the days this week, so we have been out for walks.  Yay!

2.  Sunny days often mean nights where the moon is shining.  I love those clear evenings and am thankful it is nearing full moon, too.

3.  Cold weather has reminded me how much I appreciate and am thankful for a warm, heated home.

4.  Second haircut since moving.  I love my new stylist.  The Professor and New Boy got haircuts this week, too.  I am so thankful that salons are open here.

5.  I don't believe in chance meetings.  I think this was supposed to happen.  On Saturday, we were in a locally owned coffee shop where they roast their own beans.  While we were waiting for our coffee, we were talking to the owner who was in the process of roasting a batch of coffee beans in the shop.  Long story short, when the owner asked where we had moved from and we replied, another couple who was waiting for their coffee, too, piped up and said, "Really?  We recent moved here too and are from the town next to yours!"  We discovered so much in common that we met this week for morning coffee to get better acquainted.  We know we've found new friends!  That just doesn't happen by chance when the towns are 2,400 miles away.

Bonus:  I am really loving that book I am reading during Lent.  A Shepherd Looks at Psalm 23 by Philip Keller.  I highly recommend it!

That's wonderful to find people who lived near to you in your old home ! Our hairdressers are open since a week, but otherwise nothing has changed except the curfew now til midnight before til 10 pm. That doesn't bother me at all I am in bed anyway ! We are all waiting that restaurants and cafés open ! When the weather is nice then we could at least have a coffee somewhere !

How nice to make new friends with things in common. Our hairdressers won't reopen until early April at the earliest but I'm booked in for the 16th. Hopefully it won't be cancelled. Sunshine definitely makes the cold weather more bearable. Enjoy your weekend.

Californians, coffee, lots in common! That was a fun encounter. Yippee for sunny snow days. Happy last couple days of February. Are you ready for our month to arrive? We are going to have some big celebrations to start off a new decade around here.

It's always great to meet new friends! Glad you were able to get a haircut. Now that I have had both vaccines, that is on my to do list. Right now, I am sporting what I call my scarecrow look. ;-) We had a warm week here too and most of our snow melted. It cooled down and we got just a little new snow last night. Glad you are doing well and enjoying your new home!

That is so cool that you made new friends with a couple from your neck of the woods in CA! WOW....must be a God moment for sure! :)

YAy for new hair cuts. Our salons have been open since July here in NY. I've go every 5-6 weeks for my color and trim or cut. I can't imagine NOT going!! (of course i didn't go from March last year until July but she came to my deck to do my hair in May).

I LOVE the full moon and I LOVE that our north eastern days are getting longer and warmer. YAY for outdoor walks and hikes.

enjoy the rest of the weekend!

I love your story about making new friends!

My hair stylist recently retired. It took me awhile to find a new one, but I did this summer when salons opened up again.
I just got a new cut on Wednesday of last week, I do love it. :-)

Oh, I have that book -- what a good reminder to read it for Lent.

It's so good you found a stylist. It's been a year since I've seen mine (sob!). And making friends at a coffee shop...what could be better?! You already share the love of coffee :-)

How fun that God crossed your paths with a couple from so close to where you lived! I have heard that book is very good. I'm always happy when it's time for a cut. It seems my hair goes from passable to "can't stand it" overnight.
