Again, I'm a bit late to post my Friday Fave Fives. But, hey, it's still Friday, right? Here are the wonderful blessing of this week. You can click on the link HERE and join Susanne and the rest of us in being thankful for this past week.
1. On Saturday, The Professor and I drove down to my weaving friend's home again. This week, we spent time outside in her garden where she dug out several plants for me to transfer to my place. What a treasure trove! I stuck them all in pots until I can get my beds ready for them. I'm so thankful to have plants already adapted to this climate!
2. One reason I waited to plant them was because SNOW. Yes, we had snow this week. That's not the fave. I am thankful that the snow didn't hang around very long (although we have had freezing overnight temperatures through last night).
3. and 4. Dinners at Olive Garden. We ended up having dinner TWICE at Olive Garden. First, on Sunday, we celebrated our two grandchildren's adoption day with dinner after church. What a blessing these two are to our family! Because Older Daughter and The New Boy were not feeling well, they didn't join us, so we had dinner with them on Wednesday evening--because we could. I love being able to just hop in the car and have dinner with our family!
5. Bike ride! The Professor had taken our bikes in for spring tune ups. As soon as we got them back, we took them out for a spin! Yes, we love our bikes! I'm thankful for having good bikes, good maintenance and good trails to ride.
How was your week? Can you find blessings in this week?

We had rain and snow last week too, then it warmed up and was a beautiful day yesterday. Today it is cloudy again. So glad you got some nice plants from your friend. Getting together with family is the best. Bike rides with your husband are a great way to get out and enjoy each other. So glad to hear that there are good bike trails in your area. Hope you have a good weekend. See you again soon.
We've been having rain/snow this week too and temps have been below freezing at night. I hope my spring hostas survive the cold. How fun that you got some plants from a friend. What a pleasure to be able to see your family whenever you would like with distance no longer being an issue. The Olive Garden suppers sound delicious!
Blessings indeed.
Yes eating in or out with family is always good.
Oh I just love my bike and sadly, Dave's bike is still in need of being fixed but our wonderful bike shop had to close down due to Covid and the owner just hasn't been able to get his business back up and running. we are devastated.
So...I've ridden once this month and Dave hasn't at all! Good for you both for getting on bikes. I love the exercise and it's a good break from power walking and hikes. In fact, since yesterday was my Sabbath and we are done with church and dinner and the sun is starting to come out after a drizzly cloudy morning, i just may finish vacuuming and get on the bike again!
Yay for celebrating the adoption day AND going out twice to Olive Garden. Glad your snow didn't last. Apparently the western part of NY got a lot of snow but not here in the Capital Region. We did have a weird dusting of it one more early last week...but it soon melted, praise God!
ENjoy the rest of the weekend and the upcoming week!
It's so good to be able to see your grands so easily. Blessing for them and you!
Wonderful to have dinner with family twice!! That’s the best. Snow in April is certainly not the best but it does melt quickly. It’s been cold over here in Massachusetts this spring as well. I can’t wait for it to be warm again!
