I just read on another blog that the British Museum opened on this date, January 15, in 1759. My brain swirled around, and I thought, "Yes! I've been there!" So I went searching for photos. June 2008.

My favorite display? Textiles, obviously.

Are all the buildings ones that have been re-built on the same spot, or are they in different places? This one looks like a fairytale castle, it is gorgeous. Makes me think of the castle at Disneyland.
