Early Evening

I love it when the evening sun streams through my windows, filtered by the white sheer curtains, and highlights the books on the shelf. The fantasy of it all, books and light, makes me smile.

I love to sit on my sofa in the evening sunlight and watch how the shells in the pottery plate shine and shimmer and remind me of the beaches where I walked, and chose them, and plucked them from the sand and surf.

I love to sit there and drink a cup of tea or sip a glass of wine. Sometimes I knit, other evenings I read.
If you were here, sitting on my sofa, what would you do?

Oh I would love to come over and sit on your couch with the light shinning in and just get to know you better. I'm sure we would have tons of laughs and stories to share.

I'll probably be watching TV...if I have the chance to. I was doing a post on silk weaving and thought about you, wondering if this was how you spin your wools..and I have been thinking about that dog hair you spun, what was it for? I couldn't get it out of my head..kept on wondering if its to make something for the dog or someone. Do you miss Indonesia?

Hugs and happy weekend :)

I see you and roomie (beginninghere) could be best friends based on the books on that shelf! Beautiful images, Willow, so shimmery and soft.

I'd probably sigh in satisfaction and enjoy the quiet of my thoughts -- what a lovely space!

I would sip Earl Grey tea and talk with you. And look at Lolcats.

Word verification: gicyezki. I don't know what it means, because I don't speak Russian.

I'd sip a glass of wine with you and then watch you knit! You could teach me how to do a sweater!

I love how you caught the rays of sunlight on your couch. That's what my room looked like tonight.
I have to admit, I love sipping on wine, but right now it's NBA Basketball and I am such a fan...so wine and Basketball? Doesn't sound so soothing.

I know what you mean about technology....it's changed our lives so much. It's just amazing to me that even when the e-mail doesn't work...the blog opens another passage to talk!! It's just so cool and good!! Heidi and Bruce have been trying to get ahold of us and thought of my blog!! And, I dared to post about the details of life for them to see.

I'm so glad someone's out there cheering with me. I sort of rooted for the underdog tonight.
Seeing that the Lakers and Boston are to be in the finals, I'm just always enjoying all the jargon between the umps and the announcers.
I thought that was a flagrant foul...
I'm a Steve Nash fan,Phoenix Suns as he is Canadian from out here.
My dream for next year is to fly to Phoenix and watch them play.

Yea, Shaq is in Phoenix and they don't have a coach. So I'm not sure what they will do next year.
Yea, that's true about fantasty, but it's so much fun to run from the real world at times and chill out.

So what you been up to?

You must be cheering on the game of the Lakers.

Well I can tell you right now, that I will cheer them on into the finals, as of course they are from the west and deserve to win with CB as MVP...
Enjoy the series.

I'd sit and meditate on those fabulous pieces of rock and shell. Then I might count my blessings and settle down to knit.

Well if you were there too I guess I would be deep in conversation. If you were not then I would enjoy reading one something from your bookshelf.
Do you like Tolkien by any chance?
