Southern California Weather

Our Southern California coastal mediterranean weather isn't always sunny. Sometimes it's grey, damp, and dreary.

The presence or absence of the sun and the blue sky makes a big difference.

Earlier this week, we had grey skies like the first photo. Now we are into hot weather and blue skies like the second picture.

I am still walking and recording my daily steps although I haven't posted my weekly averages. Some weeks have been more productive than others, stepwise. Last week I averaged only 7,711 steps per day because I did not walk much one day because a cold really got me down. So far this week my daily steps have been over 10,000 every day. Happy Wonderer and I will be meandering down my street in just a few minutes to add another 10,000 steps to our count today!

Stopping in to say "hi." We have had a lot of rain here in coastal Delaware -- especially on weekends. High winds have damaged a lot of trees. Amazing what a difference in my mood is on a rainy day vs. a sunny day.

Good for you! You shouldn't be down about the days you walk less... at least you're walking! I am wondering now how many steps I actually take in a day, because 7,000 sounds like a lot to me! We have had storms, then sun, then rain, then sun... I can't wait for it all to calm down!

Have a good walk!! Gail and I are waiting until 7pm. It's a funny hot day...all the flowers are wilting even tho I've watered and watered!
Blue sky and sunshine to you!!

That's exactly how our week was -- Monday was so cold I holed up in the house with a blanket all day, but today was HOT! I am inspired by your walking -- it's time to find my step-counter again and to actually wear it!

The weather has certainly been varied! I was just going to photograph my jasmine when I came across this post of your jasmine! They are about the only things looking decent in the garden right now. Yes, there is a downside to having all your roses bloom at the same time. :-)

It's great to walk. I walk to and from work today and I just love the way your mind starts to unravel thoughts and things.

So true! And I hear this heat wave goes all the way up to Canada to our northern friends! I'm happy for them, but it's going to be too hot for me!

You and Ellen sure are doing a good job on the walking! You are my encouragement to keep me going...I keep hoping to catch up with your 10,000 per day!
