I Am Thankful

I am thankful for

my husband The Professor
my children
a pleasant home
good friends
knitting needles and yarn
natural beauty around me
the opportunity for a good education
books
military men and women who protect me
electricity
running water
hot water
physical safety
financial security
God who loves me and saved me by His grace
coffee
tea
clean water
a rewarding job
my grand kitties
my bicycle

A number of years ago when The Professor and I were newly back living in the US, we were struck by our appreciation of some simple pleasures we had not had in Indonesia. We came up with our Three Great Goods in Life list.

For us, The Three Great Goods in Life are:

A comfortable bed
A hot shower
A good cup of coffee

May we all be thankful for the simple pleasures.

That is a wonderful list of things to be thankful for ... I also liked the three things you were thankful for after returning from Indonesia. Happy weekend!

All good things to be thankful for. I hope you had a great time at Mama Mia's.
There is not a knitting museum in Chipping Camden. The connection with wool is that over the whole of the Cotswolds the land is sheep grazing land so particularly in days gone by there would be much wool to sell at the wool markets. In fact most of the Cotswolds that we know today was built on the wealth of the wool merchants.

I really like your list. The stuffing recipe you recommended was absolutely wonderful! I had several requests for the recipe. Have a great weekend. :)

You are such a sweet person who I admire so much... you have incredible talent in your knitting and in making this world a better place!!! I am so thankful for God's grace... I think we don't stop and realize how much of it is poured out on us daily!!! Thanks for making me stop today and think about that again!!!

p.s. I also wanted to tell you that we watched the movie "Freedom Writers" last night with Hilary Swank and I thought about you the whole time. It takes place in South Beach and is about a teacher who works with kids who are in gangs. Did you see it? It was really, really good.
